The Real Estate Market is Shifting—And So Are We

Image
It is time for a massive upgrade. Over the years, the real estate market in Douglas County has evolved, and the way buyers and sellers navigate it needs to evolve too. We are seeing incredible opportunities right now, from 1980s and 1990s properties with solid structural bones begging for a high-ROI cosmetic flip, to brand-new construction where you need strict quality control to hold builders accountable. I am instantly evaluating the mechanicals, inspecting the roof age, and identifying the hidden equity that most people walk right past. My job is to protect your investment and make sure your house is structurally flawless. Welcome to the New Hub for Douglas County Real Estate To bring you better insights, faster data, and a superior search experience, I have officially relocat...

HUD closings in Metro Denver Colorado on HOLD!

The Department of HUD has just advised us that as of 5:00pm today if you have not already had your closing figures submitted and already scheduled and in place then any future properties currently under contract are being placed on hold until further notice and MCB will no longer be handling those files as the Asset Manager.   All files that have been currently handled by MCB will now be transferred to three new asset managers (HomeTelos, Matt Martin Realty and Pemco Asset Management).  All properties will be listed through the new website of www.hudhomestore.com   Hopefully the hold will not be in place for too long but as always Homes And People is here to help everyone work through this transition and help make your transactions go as smoothly as possibly.

A Moving Guide: All moving companies are not created equal!

Image
To help alleviate the stress of moving, Reviews.com is offering a moving guide that incorporates 500 recent customer surveys and quotes from 20 moving companies. They looked for companies that can accommodate travel anywhere in the country, have helpful FAQ sections on their websites, a “painless” quote process (which typically takes about 10 minutes), and a readily available claims department. “Moving is a pain, and even if you hire the best moving company, it’s no guarantee that it will be any less so,” Reviews.com notes in its guide. “But a great service will be friendly and efficient online, on the phone, and in person—and if it has a good track record of getting from point A to point B without a mishap, all the better.” Reviews.com picked the following top moving companies: Atlas Van Lines Bekins Moving and Storage United Mayflower Source: “The Best Moving Companies,” Reviews.com (2017)
