The Real Estate Market is Shifting—And So Are We

Image
It is time for a massive upgrade. Over the years, the real estate market in Douglas County has evolved, and the way buyers and sellers navigate it needs to evolve too. We are seeing incredible opportunities right now, from 1980s and 1990s properties with solid structural bones begging for a high-ROI cosmetic flip, to brand-new construction where you need strict quality control to hold builders accountable. As an electrical engineer and home builder, I approach real estate completely differently than a standard agent. I don't just walk into a house and look at the paint colors or the staging. I am instantly evaluating the mechanicals, inspecting the roof age, and identifying the hidden equity that most people walk right past. My job is to protect your investment and make sure your house is structurally flawless. Welcome to the New Hub for Douglas County Real Estate To bring you better insights, faster data, and a superior search experience, I have officially relocat...

They looked for companies that can accommodate travel anywhere in the country, have helpful FAQ sections on their websites, a “painless” quote process (which typically takes about 10 minutes), and a readily available claims department. “Moving is a pain, and even if you hire the best moving company, it’s no guarantee that it will be any less so,” Reviews.com notes in its guide. “But a great service will be friendly and efficient online, on the phone, and in person—and if it has a good track record of getting from point A to point B without a mishap, all the better.” Reviews.com picked the following top moving companies: Atlas Van Lines Bekins Moving and Storage United Mayflower Source: “The Best Moving Companies,” Reviews.com (2017)

HOUSE FLIPPING: A BEGINNER'S GUIDE FOR SUCCESS

Image
Flipping a house means buying a home with the intention of fixing it up and selling it within six months for a profit. Americans flipped 26,947 single-family homes in Q3 2014, accounting for 4 percent of all home sales in that period, according to real estate data firm Realtytrac. The average gross return for investors was $75,990 per home, up 2 percent from Q2. Flipping houses can be profitable, particularly when home values are rising and interest rates remain at historically low levels. The Federal Housing Administration stopped enforcing anti-flipping regulations—which prohibited insuring any home for less than 90 days—in 2010. If you're looking to get into the home flipping business, follow these four guidelines for the best chance of success.
