IDXpro 3.0 vs 2.3

The long awaited IDXpro 3.0 is finally here, and sadly I am here to report that it is lagging behind many of the competitors in the market. I am speaking from my own experience using this system to search for homes in Metro Denver (Metrolist MLS).
1- Slow. The Search by map option is slow to say the least, in an attempt to show all the listings on the map, it takes 5-10 seconds for the map to populates (an eternity in Internet time), and every time the capture is changed the map has to go through the process of repopulating for another eternity. The advanced Home search function is not as friendly or as advanced as it should be: the search options are better than basic but they are still limited.
2- Subdivision search. This is one of the most important search features to both Realtors and Home buyers. This search option has two problems it did not have in version 2.3: This option has it's own page in the advanced search section eliminating the possibility of searching by city and subdivision at the same time. Since many subdivisions exist in more than one city this search option is practically worthless. The other problem has to do with the time it takes for the search box to populate: The old version had an empty box so you can type your subdivision, the new new version however, lists all the sub areas (thousands of them) a problem since the data is populated from the subdivision section in the MLS, a section where Realtors type multiple areas, causing many duplications and misspells on this list.
3- Search on the dynamic map. When choosing the minimum and maximum price from the drop down menu the time it takes to select a price range is less than the default time from the drop down menu to disappear (It took me five tries to populate the price and I ended using my keyboard instead of the mouse)
4- Parking space. It you choose any option for your search about how many parking spaces you need, the search result is always zero homes!!
5- Migration. This is the second time in less them six months that Ihouseweb changed their template and is causing us to restructure all my saved links (searches). A daunting project that takes between two to three days.
6- Property details. When the information about a home is displayed, it prominently displays the listing office and agent name on top of the page: I understand that the information has to be displayed on the page, but why display it on the top? Why not include it at the bottom of the home details section like most other IDX providers.
7- Printing options. When a clients wants to print a home flyer they have the option of completely removing all mention of the site they printed the information from (no branding)???

I still love the regular Google map on the search results and I think its one of the best ones out there.

Comments

I just realized that all of the links I have posted on hundreds of blog postings are linking to my brokers IDXPRO search not mine.
DOes anyone know an easy way to correct this ?
